A small custom welding and fabrication shop on the Mitkof Highway waterfront, run by Petersburg's long-established marine-construction outfit Tamico.
Dirty Dog Fabrication LLC is the welding-and-fabrication arm of Tamico Inc, the Martinsen family's Petersburg marine-construction company, in business since 1976. Tamico's core work is heavy marine construction and dock building around Southeast Alaska, but co-owners Jim and Carrie Martinsen branched into general welding and custom metal fabrication under the Dirty Dog Fabrication name, running it as a small custom shop at their waterfront yard south of downtown. For cruisers it can be a practical option for aluminum, steel, or stainless welding, custom metal parts, or repairs while in Petersburg. Note the primary business is heavy marine construction and the fabrication shop is a smaller, diversified offshoot — confirm availability and turnaround directly.
