Shearwater Marine is the marine-repair hub of the Inside Passage between Port Hardy and Prince Rupert, hauling yachts, commercial vessels, and floatplanes on a 70-ton travel lift. In-house staff cover heavy-duty diesel and small-engine/outboard mechanics, steel and aluminum welding and fabrication, and fiberglass repair, and the yard is a licensed Volvo-Penta sales and service centre. An on-site marine store/chandlery, fuel dock, and roughly 1,500 ft of concrete floats with power, water, and WiFi round out a facility that visiting cruisers rely on when something breaks far from anywhere. Owned and operated by the Heiltsuk Nation.
