Clover Pass Resort has operated on the sheltered waters of Clover Passage since 1951 — billed as the longest continually operated fishing lodge in Southeast Alaska. Located 15 miles north of Ketchikan on Revillagigedo Island, well clear of cruise ship traffic. Gas, diesel, and propane available on-site with full fish-processing, restaurant, showers, and laundry. Season May through September.
Clover Pass Resort sits at Potter Point on the eastern shore of Clover Passage, 15 miles north of downtown Ketchikan via the North Tongass Highway. The passage runs northeast from the top of Tongass Narrows into Behm Canal, sheltered from open-ocean swell by the mass of Revillagigedo Island and free of the cruise ship traffic and associated wake that defines the narrows. Waters here are genuinely calm.
The resort has been in continuous operation since 1951. The dock serves a mix of lodge guests, charter fishing boats, and transient cruisers on their Inside Passage run. Gas, diesel, and propane are confirmed on-site, along with a full array of shore-side services: fish-cleaning station, vacuum-pack and flash-freeze processing, restrooms, showers, laundry, ship store, bait and tackle, ice, and an on-site restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fishing licenses are sold at the store. A complimentary shuttle runs to Ketchikan airport for crew changes.
Wildlife is exceptional. Humpback whales, orcas, Steller sea lions, and bald eagles are routinely reported in Clover Passage and adjacent Behm Canal. The area's salmon fishery — king, coho, pink — is what brings most guests. For transient cruisers, the resort is a useful fuel and services stop before or after transiting Behm Canal and the broader southeastern Alaska waters.
The marina prioritizes lodge guests and registered fishing charters. Call ahead for transient moorage availability, particularly in peak summer weeks. Shore power availability on boat docks has not been confirmed in public sources — verify directly before arrival if shorepower is essential. VHF channel not documented; hail on 16 when approaching.
